You can help!

Community Bikes is an all-volunteer organization that relies on individuals and groups throughout the community to collect, clean and recondition bikes.

How it works

A core team of key volunteers with bike mechanic expertise works throughout the year at our bike workshop in Hamilton to recondition bikes and get them into top working order!

Then, volunteer groups from area schools, Scouts organizations, sports teams, community service organizations and students from Colgate University and Morrisville State College schedule work visits to help clean and polish bikes to get them looking like new. (We call it the “WOW Factor!”)

YOU can join the hundreds of volunteers who pitch in each year and take well-earned pride in the important contribution made.

In Tandem

Become a tandem Captain

Our In Tandem program needs tandem Captains (the rider in front) for weekly rides throughout the spring and summer. We’ll provide the training.
